Legacy & Why it is Important to Consider.
Legacy is an important topic mentioned when discussing death.
Death is inevitably the end for everything we do on planet earth. Throughout the
course of our life we carry this burden on our shoulders regarding what we want
to be recognized and looked as when we die, this leads us to make death a huge
topic and portion of our life. I’m not saying it is not, but we make it bigger
than it must be without the need for it to be such a big portion of our life. This
idealism of a legacy is important because it is more than just what we want to
be remembered as because eventually a legacy will be forgotten. Your legacy
most likely won’t be remembered by everyone except a handful of close people or
family but this is important for what I am about to say. A legacy is not just
about people remembering you for who you are, the most valuable part of a
legacy is the values and goals behind someone’s legacy. If you get forgotten
but the values behind your legacy lives on, then you have accomplished your goal
on earth regarding the values behind your legacy. Once you are
free from the pressure of being greater than you are at your peak, you will die
and won’t have to worry about that. You may possibly be forgotten but if your
values live on in someone else, if you manage to influence or impact someone else based on
your motives then you have completed the main thing you set out to do which is
to get your legacy and every component behind it to be remembered and to create
inspiration. Your legacy (what you want to leave behind) will live on and
inspire people who might not even know who you are and that is an extreme possibility.
One example is the company Apple, the new generation of kids and teens probably
won’t know who Steve Jobs was, but they will know what an iPhone is. The important
and usable knowledge can be used without knowing who created it. Hand sanitation
is important in daily life but a common man person has no idea who made sanitation.
Legacy is a very important thing to consider and is not something to be put to the side as something that will eventually be forgotten and seem as a waste of time & effort.
